Paderborn: Faster than allowed - Speed measured with ProViDa vehicle

m., a 36-year-old car driver from Bad Zwesten (Northern Hesse) was driving his Audi on the BAB 44 towards Dortmund. The crew of the ProViDa speed measuring vehicle of the Bielefeld motorway police became aware of the Audi driver at the Büren junction, as he was travelling at a significantly excessive speed and ignored several speed-limiting traffic signs. At a speed of 80 km/h - prescribed due to road damage - he was measured at a speed of 178 km/h. He now faces a fine of at least 1400 euros for intentional commission, as well as a driving ban of three months and 2 points in the driving suitability register.
