Driver is under the influence of drugs - license revoked

A 36-year-old driver from Beverungen was caught under the influence of drugs behind the wheel of a vehicle near Höxter on Thursday afternoon, January 16. The police expressly warn: "Drugs have no place in road traffic. Fortunately, the driver's risky behavior did not endanger any other road users.
" At around 2:40 pm, officers of a plainclothes patrol on the B83 towards Höxter-Godelheim noticed a Polo that repeatedly swerved onto the oncoming lane in a conspicuous manner, tailgated other vehicles and overtook at an unclear spot. The police then decided to check the 36-year-old. He showed typical signs of drug impairment. A drug pre-test confirmed the suspicion. The officers ordered a blood sample to be taken and confiscated his driver's license. The police point out that driving under the influence of drugs poses serious dangers to all road users and is unacceptable./rek
