Oldenburg: Traffic accident on Ammerländer Heerstraße

The driver of a Renault was heading out of town on Ammerländer Heerstraße around 9:50 pm when he ignored the red light at the traffic light system there. At the same time, a 62-year-old driver of a Ford entered the intersection from the motorway ramp on a green light. The two vehicles collided.

Both vehicles were significantly damaged in the accident, but no injuries were reported initially. The police estimate the damage to be over 10,000 euros.

A regulatory offence procedure has been initiated against the person who caused the accident.
