--- Hude, Intoxicated and wrong license plates - Diepholz, Wallet theft ---

Hüde - Drunk and false license platesThe police stopped a truck on Osnabrücker Straße on Thursday morning around 09.30 am. The 62-year-old driver was apparently under the influence of alcohol, a test at the scene of the control revealed 2.3 per mille.
The 62-year-old does not have a driver's license either. Upon closer inspection, it was noticed that the temporary license plates attached were not registered for the truck at all. The police took the driver to the station to take a blood sample. The police secured the license plates and also the vehicle keys. The driver now faces criminal proceedings for drunk driving, driving without a license, and forgery of documents. In addition, the truck was not registered and insured.

Diepholz - Wallet theft

On Thursday morning between 10.15 am and 11 am, unknown persons stole an elderly woman's wallet. The woman was shopping in a drugstore on Lappenberger Rott street. During the shopping, an unknown person stole her wallet from her jacket pocket. The woman only noticed the theft when she wanted to pay at the checkout. In this context, the police advise to always carry valuables as close to the body as possible. Keeping the wallet in the shopping cart or in a bag increases the chances of a thief.
