Traffic accident with injured child
On Thursday afternoon, around 12:30 pm, there was a traffic accident on Homburger Street in Zweibrücken. A 10-year-old child was injured in this incident.
The child was a passenger on a bus heading towards Homburg-Einöd, but forgot to press the stop button in time to get off at Homburger Street. The bus driver opened the rear door of the bus during a stop at a red light to allow the child to get off anyway. The child then got off the bus and entered the right turn lane next to the stationary bus towards Saarpfalzstraße. A car driver on this lane could not brake in time and hit the child with her car as it was getting off. The child suffered various, non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. |PIZW
