Bonn-Bad Godesberg - Criminal Police Investigating After Vehicle Fire - Witness Information Requested

The Criminal Investigation Department 11 of the Bonn Police is investigating a fire involving a transporter at Van-Groote-Platz in Bad Godesberg on Thursday, January 16, 2025.At around 09:35 am, witnesses reported smoke coming from the vehicle, which was parked in the public parking lot. The fire department was able to extinguish the fire.

However, initial estimates indicate that the transporter was a total loss.

During the investigation, there were indications of possible arson. Therefore, the police are asking:

Did anyone notice suspicious individuals near the scene of the fire or can anyone provide information about the incident?
