Yesterday, two pedestrians were injured on the streets of Viersen

Two accidents involving pedestrians are occupying the police. An elderly lady was seriously injured in one of the accidents.
The first accident occurred on Thursday at around 12:45 pm in Kempen. A 66-year-old woman from Willich wanted to turn left from Viehmarkt into Moorenring street with her car. As she was paying attention to the traffic coming from the right while turning, there was a collision with a 62-year-old woman from Grefrath who wanted to cross the street towards Viehmarkt. The pedestrian was seriously injured in the accident. The second accident also happened yesterday at 4:15 pm in Grefrath-Mülhausen. A 58-year-old woman from Kempen was waiting at the intersection of Hauptstraße / Grefrather Straße at a red light. When the light turned green, she started driving towards Kempen. Near the church, a 9-year-old girl from Grefrath suddenly wanted to cross the street from left to right. Despite an emergency brake, the driver could not avoid an accident. The girl fell and was slightly injured. /jk (63)
