Fire IncidentUpgant-Schott - Residential house caught fireA fire incident occurred on Poggenpolderstraße in Upgant-Schott on Thursday. At around 1:10 pm, a room fire in a single-family house was reported.
When the emergency services arrived, the two residents had already been able to leave the building on their own. The 72-year-old man and the 61-year-old woman suffered minor smoke inhalation and were treated by the emergency services. The fire spread to the entire residential building over time. Numerous firefighters were busy extinguishing the fire. In total, over 100 emergency personnel were on site. Due to the heavy smoke development, residents were asked to keep their windows and doors closed through a warning message. The public warning was lifted at around 4:10 pm. The fire site was seized after the extinguishing work was completed. The police have started investigations into the cause of the fire.
