Landau - Cyclist overlooked while turning

On January 16, 2025, at around 11:20 am, a 90-year-old Audi driver was driving down Xylanderstraße in Landau and wanted to turn right into Schloßstraße. In doing so, he overlooked a 17-year-old cyclist who was illegally crossing the pedestrian traffic light there.
The subsequent collision resulted in minor injuries to the 17-year-old. She was taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The total damage is estimated at approximately 550 Euros. A criminal proceeding for negligent bodily harm has been initiated.
