Police help a frozen man at the bus stop in Thalfang

At a mere -2.5 °C, a patrol car crew of the Morbach police station noticed a 45-year-old man at the Thalfang bus station on 17.01.2025, around 03:40 am. The man had missed the last bus the previous evening.

With only limited language skills and no phone battery, the man ultimately spent the entire night in freezing temperatures and thin clothing at the bus stop.

For medical clarification, he was presented to the local emergency service. After being examined by them, the frozen man was safely brought home.

Please pay special attention to your fellow human beings during the cold season. If you are unsure whether someone needs help, talk to them. In particular, homeless people may need help in low temperatures. If in doubt, please contact your local police station or emergency service.
