BPOL-HRO: Federal Police Inspection Rostock uncovers unauthorized entry and forged documents

During a check at the overseas port of Rostock, the Federal Police Inspection Rostock today uncovered an unauthorized entry and the use of forged documents. The vehicle checked had entered via the STENA-LINE ferry from Sweden.
The passenger, a 28-year-old Guinean national, initially identified himself with a valid Guinean passport. Upon closer inspection, he also presented a forged Italian residence permit.

The Federal Police Inspection Rostock initiated criminal proceedings against him on suspicion of document forgery as well as unauthorized entry and stay. The driver of the vehicle, a 35-year-old Swedish national, is accused of aiding and abetting.

In coordination with the Swedish authorities, the federal police officers were also able to initiate the return of the Guinean national to Sweden.
