Sleep with devastating consequences

Firefighters and police were called out early Thursday morning just before 2:00 a. m.
due to the activation of a fire alarm in Musäusring. Initially, no smoke development was observed from the outside. However, when knocking on the affected apartment, it became clear. The apartment was heavily smoked due to burnt food. This happened because the resident turned on the stove and then fell asleep on the couch. After generous ventilation, the rooms were habitable again. The 22-year-old resident had to be taken to a hospital for further medical treatment due to minor injuries from inhaling the smoke.
