Witnesses sought after hit and run
On January 13, 2025, a traffic accident occurred in Sömmerda with a hit-and-run driver. At around 2:50 pm, the unknown driver was traveling on Peace Street with his blue van.
As he attempted to enter the roundabout, he overlooked a cyclist and collided with him. The cyclist fell and suffered minor injuries. The driver fled the scene of the accident. The police are now looking for witnesses who can provide information on the incident or the person who caused the accident.
