Did not fall for scam
Scammers tried their luck with a 74-year-old senior from Zella-Mehlis on Tuesday at around 11:30 am. They contacted him by phone and led him to believe that his daughter had caused a serious traffic accident.
The 74-year-old quickly asked the supposed policeman some questions, which the caller could not answer. As a result, the Zella-Mehlis resident ended the conversation without any damage being done. Stay just as vigilant. Never engage in such conversations and do not hand over money, valuables or account details.
