Schwerte - Three unknown perpetrators start fire and damage garbage bins

On the night of Tuesday (14.01.2025) to Wednesday (15.01.2025), unknown perpetrators set a fire in Liethstraße in Schwerte between 23.50 and 00.10.Witnesses had previously observed three as yet unknown individuals throwing fireworks into a trash can - residents were able to extinguish the fire. Subsequently, during a close-range search by the police, another burning trash can was found in Kleinen Liethstraße - and also independently extinguished.
The two fires damaged two trash cans - there were no injuries.

The Schwerte police are now looking for clues that lead to the unknown perpetrators: 02304 921 3320 or 02303 921 0. Witnesses can also send relevant information by email: poststelle.unna@polizei.nrw.de.
