Police discover stolen scooter

They were actually there to investigate an assault. While speaking with one of the alleged participants, the police officers discovered an e-scooter in his living room. As the overall situation seemed strange, the law enforcement officers addressed the man and checked the vehicle. Their suspicion was confirmed: The scooter had been reported stolen on January 8 by a 21-year-old man from Troisdorf. The also 21-year-old suspect credibly claimed to have only purchased the scooter. The police officers filed a criminal complaint for receiving stolen goods. The exact sequence of events and the involvement of the Niederkassel resident are now part of the initiated investigations. The police officers packed up the scooter to be able to return it to the owner later.
