E-Scooter driver with 2.12 blood alcohol level and without insurance on the road - Bobenheim-Roxheim

On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, a 21-year-old e-scooter rider fell on Mittelstraße in Bobenheim-Roxheim around 12:00 noon and sustained two lacerations. The police officers on scene noticed the smell of alcohol on the rider and a breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol level of 2.12 per mille.
An ambulance was called and after initial medical care, the 21-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital. A criminal procedure for drunk driving was initiated against the rider and a blood sample was taken. In addition, the e-scooter was not insured, resulting in an additional charge for violation of the compulsory insurance law.
