Drunk driving on a bicycle in the city center

On Tuesday afternoon (14.01.2025), at around 3:45 pm, police officers noticed a cyclist on Potthofstraße who was riding in a zigzag pattern down the street. When he reached the officers, he showed them his middle finger and then continued his journey.
The cyclist was finally stopped and checked on Märkischen Ring. There was a beer bottle in his drink holder, which is why a voluntary breath alcohol test was conducted. This confirmed the suspicion and resulted in a value of around 0.78 per mille. Due to the previously observed unsafe driving style, the 37-year-old had to give a blood sample.

He was prohibited from continuing his journey and a corresponding criminal proceeding was initiated.
