At around 08:39 am, the Skoda driver was travelling from Geisweid towards Siegen. At the level of the district hospital, he wanted to turn right to the parking lots there. While crossing the environmental lane, the 49-year-old overlooked a bus also travelling towards Siegen. The bus was empty at this time. Both vehicles collided. The 49-year-old Skoda driver was slightly injured in the collision, the 65-year-old bus driver was unharmed. There was property damage of approximately 40,000 Euros. The Skoda was no longer drivable and had to be towed.
For the duration of the accident recording and vehicle recovery, Weidenauer Straße had to be temporarily closed in the direction of Siegen.
