Man arrested after apartment burglary, second suspect on the run - witnesses sought

On Friday (January 10, 2025), there was a home burglary on Inrather Street around 6:20 pm. After the owner was alerted to the crime by an alarm on his phone, he informed the police.
On site, the officers encountered two men in the apartment. A 46-year-old was temporarily arrested on the spot. Stolen goods were found during the search of the man. The second unknown man managed to escape through the garden in a northerly direction. A service dog and a police helicopter were called in for the search, but the man could not be located. The unknown man was dressed in dark clothing and had a beard. Witnesses who have made suspicious observations are asked to contact 02151-6340 or hinweise.krefeld@polizei.nrw.de. (4)
