At the time, there were likely five people present in the half-timbered house. Three residents managed to escape from the house. A 41-year-old suffered minor injuries, while a 47-year-old sustained serious injuries. Rescue teams took them to hospitals. A 20-year-old was lucky and remained unharmed. One person was recovered lifeless by the fire department. Whether this is an 82-year-old resident is still to be determined. Another 68-year-old resident is currently still missing.

The fire department's extinguishing work is still ongoing this morning. Due to the damage, the half-timbered house has not yet been able to be entered. The Biberach criminal police have begun investigations. The damage is estimated at around one million euros.
