BPOLI-OG: Arrest for illegal entry
The Federal Police arrested an Algerian national at the Kehl border crossing on Monday afternoon (13.01.). The 36-year-old was listed in the police search system due to a warrant for his arrest for theft.
Since he could not pay the required fine, he is now serving a 30-day prison sentence. In addition, he faces charges for illegal entry, as the 36-year-old could not present any documents that would entitle him to enter and stay in Germany. The immigration authority is now checking measures to end his stay.
