Traffic accident with personal injury

Gera: On Sunday evening at around 8:15 pm (12.01.2025), a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Stadtring Süd-Ost/B2 and Straße des Bergmanns. A 44-year-old car driver was driving along Ronneburger Straße towards Straße des Bergmanns with the traffic lights turned off, during which she overlooked the right-of-way 29-year-old driver of a car BMW who was driving along Stadtring Süd-Ost towards B2. There was a collision between the two vehicles, resulting in minor injuries to the 44-year-old and a passenger of the other vehicle involved in the accident.
Both had to receive medical treatment. The vehicles were totalled and consequently had to be towed. The Gera police have started investigations into the accident. (AK)
