After the roundabout there, the man veered onto the opposite lane and endangered an as yet unknown oncoming motorist. When turning into Steinbruch Street, the 66-year-old ran over a traffic island shortly afterwards. However, no damage was caused. A witness driving behind was able to observe the man's driving behaviour and alerted the police. The officers were able to find the man at home. They noticed clear signs of medication impairment in the driver, which is why he had to give a blood sample at a clinic. The police also retained his driver's license. Witnesses to the incident, especially the oncoming driver, are asked to contact the Oberndorf police station at the telephone number 07423 8101-0.
