BPOL NRW: 4 Months Imprisonment - Federal Police Arrest Wanted Criminal

On Saturday afternoon (January 11), federal police officers checked a man at Gelsenkirchen main station. A public prosecutor's office was already looking for this man by warrant.
At around 3:15 pm, federal police officers patrolled the Gelsenkirchen main station. They checked a 28-year-old man. He handed over his federal ID card to the officers. Research revealed that the Dortmund public prosecutor's office had issued a search warrant for the German citizen. He had previously been sentenced to a four-month prison term for fraud by the responsible local court.

Since the wanted person had not yet reported for imprisonment, the search warrant was issued by the Dortmund public prosecutor's office.

The federal police officers arrested the man from Gelsenkirchen and subsequently took him to a responsible penal institution, where he is expected to spend the next four months.
