On Saturday afternoon, around 2:40 pm, a single-horse carriage was traveling downhill on Waldstraße in Götzingen. The horse was presumably startled by the sound of chainsaws from the adjacent forest.
As a result, the coachman could no longer control the carriage and it overturned. The 54-year-old coachman and the 46-year-old passenger were seriously injured and airlifted to nearby specialist clinics. The horse was unharmed and could be caught. Only minor damage was caused to the carriage.
