Apartment fire in a multi-family house on Königgrätzer Street

There was a residential fire in a multi-family house on Königgrätzer Straße on Saturday evening, January 11.A pedestrian noticed smoke development in the multi-family house from the street around 9.30 pm and alerted the fire department. The fire, which originated from an apartment on the third floor, was extinguished by the fire department.

The apartment owner was able to leave his apartment before the fire department arrived. An ambulance took the severely injured person with smoke inhalation to a nearby hospital.

The scene of the fire was seized by the police. The criminal police have started investigations into the cause of the fire.

The amount of damage caused cannot yet be quantified. (rv)
