The train driver (TF) stated on site that he had noticed a male person in the middle of the track about 200 meters from the entrance to the station and had immediately initiated an emergency brake with so-called sanding after giving a warning whistle. The speed was about 60 km/h at the time, but the train managed to stop in time. There were about 200 passengers on the train at the time, but fortunately no one was injured. The man then suddenly climbed from the tracks onto the platform and simply got on the train. The TF then moved the train to the scheduled stopping position and reported the incident. A patrol of the DB security on site monitored the man until the arrival of the federal police. On site, the federal police officers identified several witnesses who stated that the 27-year-old German was probably intoxicated on platform 4. He was reportedly staggering slightly, shouting loudly and holding a smartphone in his hand. When the train arrived, he is said to have fallen backwards onto the track bed, but was apparently able to catch himself and came to a standstill on the track. It was also confirmed that he then got on the train.
The now accused was then asked to leave the train, checked and confronted with the facts. A voluntary test revealed a not insignificant alcohol consumption. However, he was fully oriented in terms of time and place. The police-known initially did not admit the crime and was sure to have already been sitting in the incoming train, but finally noted that he was very sorry about the matter and apologized. He was then released from the measures and now has to answer for dangerous interference with rail traffic, unauthorized stay in the track area and possibly civil claims. The affected train then continued its journey with a delay of 50 minutes.
