Refueling Stop with Obstacles

Officers of the Erfurt Police were surprised this afternoon when they encountered a visibly drunk cyclist on a petrol station premises. The young man only realized the consequences of his inebriated excursion with a blood alcohol level of 1.9 per mille when he sat down for a blood test at the station.
He was then allowed to walk home after he was unable to prove the origin of his high-quality pedelec. The allegation of drunk driving was then followed by a report on the initial suspicion of handling stolen goods. The bicycle remained safely stored at the police station. (MP)
