Leinsweiler - Emergency Landing of a Paraglider

On Saturday, at around 11:05 am, there was an emergency landing of a paraglider above the Hexentanzplatz near Leinsweiler. The 61-year-old pilot from Landau, according to his own statements, overlooked a branch while preparing his paraglider for takeoff, which got caught in his parachute.
Shortly after takeoff, the pilot noticed the branch. Due to the altered balance caused by the branch, he started to spiral at a height of 5 to 10 meters. The 61-year-old immediately initiated an emergency landing, which ended in a tree. The pilot was able to free himself uninjured from the tree and notify the police. The paraglider sustained damage amounting to approximately 3200 euros.
