Unsuccessful burglary attempt

During the night leading into Friday, unknown individuals attempted to break into a gas station in Erfurt. The two men entered the premises of a gas station around 02:18 AM.
There, they grabbed a fire extinguisher and repeatedly hit the entrance door of the gas station shop with it. The alarm went off and the perpetrators abandoned their plan. They fled in an unknown direction. The door suffered property damage of about 6,000 Euros. The criminal police arrived at the scene and secured evidence. The officers are now investigating for attempted theft in a particularly severe case. (SE)
