Driving in zigzags and under the influence of alcohol/drugs through the Solling

On the early evening of January 14, 2025, the Holzminden police were informed by attentive road users about a conspicuously driving car in Solling. The green Mercedes-Benz used not only its own lane for driving, but also the oncoming and side lanes.
The driver of the vehicle was identified by the dispatched patrol car. During the traffic check, both alcohol and drug influence were detected in him. At the Holzminden police station, a blood sample was taken from the car driver. In addition, a criminal proceeding was initiated.
