Westerburg Police warns of CURRENTLY OCCURRING calls from fake police officers / bank employees

On 16.01.2025, from around 4 pm, several reports were given by concerned citizens from Rennerod, about fake bank employees. These are CURRENTLY going from house to house and asking for personal bank details on site; however, after a previous call to the affected parties.
In addition, there are "shock calls" from fake police officers in other parts of the service area of the Westerburg Police Inspection.

The police hereby warn against false calls from alleged police officers and bank employees. Do not give any personal data over the phone!

Patrol cars are currently in operation in the affected areas for the reasons mentioned.
