+++Control measures of heavy-duty transporters+++

Herborn-Parkplatz Hörbach: Control Measures of Heavy Goods Vehicles- Yesterday morning (15.1.2025), staff of the regional traffic services Lahn-Dill and Marburg carried out a joint control of heavy goods vehicles. At the control point set up in the Hörbach car park on the B255, Westerwald direction Herborn, the law enforcement officers took a closer look at a total of 25 trucks with a permitted total weight between 3.5 and 40 tons, as well as a car with a trailer.
In addition to several speed violations, the inspectors penalized improperly secured loads and exceeding the permitted working time. Due to a detected violation during the transport of so-called dangerous goods, both the driver of the controlled truck and the responsible loading company can expect fines totaling 800 euros and one point in Flensburg each. The inspection of a semi-trailer of a German company resulted in the accusation of illegal employee leasing. Due to detected discrepancies between the driver's nationality and the identification papers carried, the further journey of the transporter was stopped. The driver was presumably staying illegally in Germany and was taken to the station for further investigations. The owner company is now being reported for illegal employee leasing, and a fine of 3,000 euros is being imposed. The transporter was able to continue its journey after the forced break by a replacement driver.
