Addendum to the report: Drunk person causes accident and flees

The Traffic Department 1 of the Rhein-Kreis Neuss Police is investigating the possible drunk driving of an 80-year-old man from Grevenbroich on Wednesday (15th January, around 6:15 pm to 6:30 pm), during which several vehicles were damaged and one person was slightly injured. As part of these investigations, indications of further accidents have now emerged: According to witness statements, the driver is said to have rammed a parked truck while reversing on Unterstraße in Wevelinghoven.
Furthermore, he is said to have collided with the side mirror of an oncoming dark station wagon on the country road 69 between Wevelinghoven and Widdeshoven, both vehicles were damaged in the process. During the subsequent investigations on the senior's accident vehicle, further apparently fresh damages were found, which so far cannot be attributed to any accident.

Therefore, Traffic Department 1 is asking witnesses who can provide information on possible further accidents in this context to contact the police at the phone number 02131 3000. The driver of the dark station wagon is still unknown and is asked to get in touch with the police.
