She then alerted the police and the owner of the scooter, whom she knew. An immediate search initiated by the deployed police patrol led to the discovery of the scooter. It had been parked about 250 meters away from the scene of the crime, on a footpath near an indoor swimming pool. The suspects have not yet been identified. They are believed to be three individuals, presumably 16 years old, who were dressed in dark clothing at the time of the crime. One of them is said to have had curly hair.

The Heidelberg-Nord police station has taken up the investigation and secured the vehicle as evidence. Witnesses who can provide relevant information about the crime or the identity of the perpetrators are asked to call 06221/4569-0.
