Traffic accident under the influence of alcohol - witnesses sought
On Wednesday, January 15, 2024, at around 10:45 pm, a traffic accident occurred on Kurfürstenstraße in Manderscheid. A 28-year-old vehicle driver collided with a parked car.
The person responsible for the accident then left the scene without taking care of the damage caused.
As a result of police investigations, the person responsible for the accident was eventually identified and found at his home address. During the accident recording, the driver was found to be significantly under the influence of alcohol. The young man had a blood sample taken at the hospital. In addition, his driver's license was secured. A criminal investigation has been initiated against the 28-year-old for endangering road traffic and fleeing the scene of an accident.
