(CW / Enzkreis / FDS / PF) Numerous traffic accidents due to winter weather

According to current knowledge, the total damage amounts to almost 600,000 euros. One person was seriously injured and ten people were slightly injured. There were no fatalities. The main causes of the accidents were drivers not adjusting their speed accordingly and consequently leaving the road. Traffic disruptions caused by stranded heavy-duty vehicles in the high altitudes of the Northern Black Forest did not occur. On the Autobahn 8 between the junctions Pforzheim-Nord and Karlsbad, several traffic accidents occurred involving several vehicles. This resulted in significant traffic disruptions with congestion up to 18 km long in the direction of Karlsruhe.
