An amount of 2000 euros was agreed upon, which the perpetrator then claimed to transfer immediately via online banking in British pounds. As proof, the man showed a supposed transfer slip along with the payment process on his mobile phone.
However, since the amount was not yet visible in the 26-year-old's account, he initially handed over "only" 500 euros in cash to the man.
The agreed remaining amount was then to be handed over in the evening at a meeting in a local restaurant, after the money had been received. However, neither the unknown man appeared for this, nor was there actually a money receipt in the 26-year-old's account.
The perpetrator was wearing blue jeans and a dark coat at the time of the crime.
