(BC)(GP)(HDH)(UL) Region - Weather causes numerous accidents / On Wednesday (15.1.25), around 120 accidents occurred on slippery roads until late morning

, several accidents occurred on the B10 near Ebersbach due to black ice. The driver of a Fiat Punto skidded in the direction of Ulm and crashed into the guardrails. A BMW driver therefore stopped. Another BMW driver recognized this too late. On the slippery road, he slid into the rear of the stationary BMW. Rescue teams took the three injured people to hospitals. All three cars had to be towed. A large contingent of emergency services was on site. The federal road had to be closed in the direction of Ulm until about 9 a. In total, there were about 75 accidents due to icy conditions in the Göppingen district.

(UL) Ulm: At 5.50 a., a cyclist fell due to weather conditions in Sedelhofgasse. He suffered minor injuries. Rescue teams took him to a hospital. Another accident due to icy conditions occurred at around 7.23 a. in Schwörhausgasse. A gritting vehicle slid into a patrol car causing property damage. (HDH) Heidenheim: At 8.47 a., a 27-year-old woman was driving on Waldstraße in the direction of Giengener Straße. In icy conditions, she left the road and slid at the junction onto a traffic island. She ran over a traffic sign. The police estimate the damage at 2,500 euros. The driver was uninjured and her BMW was still drivable. About fifteen accidents were reported to the police in the Heidenheim district.

(BC)Rot/Schemmerhofen: At around 8 a., a 19-year-old was driving from Haslach in the direction of Rot an der Rot. Halfway there, he skidded with his Mazda and ended up in the ditch. The driver was taken to a hospital as a precaution. The car suffered property damage of about 15,000 euros. Another driver was driving on the K 7596 near Schemmerhofen. In the curve, he skidded. The man apparently rolled over several times and ended up with his Opel in a field on its roof. Rescue teams were not required. A tow truck recovered the car. In total, there were about 15 accidents due to black ice in the Biberach district.
