Papenburg - Equipment Shed Caught Fire
On this Wednesday, the fire department and police were alerted to an incident on Kapitän-Meerjanssen-Straße in Papenburg. At around 5:30 am, a tool shed caught fire for reasons that are still unclear.
The fire spread to the adjoining garage. A 69-year-old resident was taken to the hospital on suspicion of smoke inhalation. The fire department was on site with seven vehicles and 26 personnel. The extent of the property damage is not yet known.
