Focused controls of the transit prohibition

Nine vehicles had technical defects, five of which had to be decommissioned due to endangering road safety. Nine drivers violated social regulations, five of which were due to disregard of driving and rest times. Three truck drivers had not properly secured their load. One driver was under the influence of drugs. Two others were without a valid driving license.

There were also various other offenses, including 274 violations of the applicable maximum speed and 89 violations of the "residents only" regulations in residential areas. A driver from Hanover drove at 63 in a 30 km/h zone on the L692. Another from MK drove at 84 in a 50 km/h zone on Altenaer Street. Both are facing charges. The checks will continue. (dill)
