Unknown individuals broke glass windows there around 2 a.m. and thus entered the sales room. The thieves managed to escape with two high-quality "Pivot" brand mountain bikes. About two hours later, unknown individuals also broke into the bicycle warehouse of a business on Ortenberger Straße. An accompanying alarm trigger likely drove the crooks to flee before the arrival of rushing police patrols. According to current findings, nothing appears to have been stolen. Whether the two incidents are connected is being investigated. The respective local station officers have started investigations and ask for information on suspicious persons under the phone numbers: 07821 277-0 (Lahr police station) or under: 0781 21 2200 (Offenburg police station).
