Focused deployment in Soest

The officers identified 37 traffic violations. Two drivers were under the influence of intoxicating substances, nine vehicles had defective lighting, three drivers were not wearing seat belts and two vehicles had tire defects. One driver stood out, who drove into a checkpoint completely without securing two children, one still an infant. During the check, the driver showed signs of drug use. A preliminary test was positive for amphetamine, cocaine and marijuana. A blood sample was taken from him and he was prohibited from continuing his journey. The children were handed over to their mother, who has custody, during the check.

Once again, the necessity of checks is evident. Therefore, the police will continue to carry out similar major operations in the future.
