At around 2 a.m., the officers then spotted another e-scooter driver heading towards Burgstraße in the old town of Koblenz. The 27-year-old admitted to consuming cocaine and cannabis. A corresponding test confirmed these statements. In addition, a breathalyzer test showed an alcohol level of 0.2 per mille.
Both drivers subsequently had blood samples taken and their e-scooters were preemptively seized. Both men face criminal charges for violating the Narcotics Act as well as a regulatory offence notice in accordance with §24a II StVG.
