Annual General Meeting of the Littel Fire Department

On January 10, 2025, the annual general meeting of the Littel Volunteer Fire Department took place at the fire station. The focus was on a review of an eventful year and the upcoming events of the new year.
The Littel Fire Department looked back on a total of 25 operations, in which the comrades were challenged in various ways. A total of more than 4,688 hours were spent on operations, exercises, and services. This is a significant increase from last year, highlighting the high level of readiness and commitment of the 74 members. Of these, 50 members belong to the active department, while 5 other members are involved as supporting or passive members in the Littel Fire Department. The senior department consists of 19 comrades.

The event was attended by several guests. Mayor Christoph Reent thanked the firefighters for their commitment and emphasized the importance of volunteer fire departments, which was particularly evident in the flood situation a year ago. Bernd Depner pointed out the high number of hours worked and is confident that this will remain high this year due to changes in firefighter training. Christian Martens from the Public Insurance also joined the other guests in thanking the firefighters and was pleased to announce that the Public Insurance will continue to support the camaraderie of the Littel Fire Department this year.

Enno Lankenau from the Technical Relief Service (THW) highlighted the close cooperation between the organizations and took the opportunity to report on the planned renovation measures of the THW in Wardenburg. Finally, Reiner Schröder also thanked the Littel Volunteer Fire Department on behalf of the District Fire Chief. Special praise was given to Neele Drechsel for her social media work at the Littel Fire Department. With creative posts and videos, she has managed to reach a large audience and bring the fire department activities closer to the public.

Local fire chief Tobias Hollman ended the meeting with a positive outlook for the new year and is convinced that the Littel Volunteer Fire Department will continue to fulfill its tasks with joy and readiness.
