(PF) Pforzheim - Drunk while riding an E-Scooter

On Saturday evening, a man under the influence of alcohol drove an e-scooter into a glass door in the East City. At around 7:15 pm, a witness reported to the police by phone that a man had driven his e-scooter into a glass door in the Kaufland parking lot.
During a subsequent police check of the 42-year-old, a voluntary breath alcohol test was carried out. This resulted in a value of just under 2.4 per mille. The accused was not injured in the accident, but had to give a blood sample at a nearby hospital afterwards.

In addition, the man could not provide mandatory insurance or an insurance license plate for his e-scooter, which is why the electric vehicle was initially seized by the officers on duty.

The man now faces a criminal charge for endangering road traffic and for an offense under the compulsory insurance law.
