Bride picks up her car

MK / Bielefeld - Downtown- An 18-year-old is suspected of having driven a car without the owner's consent and without possessing a driver's license on Saturday, 12.01.2025. There was an arrest warrant for his 24-year-old passenger. Around 01:10 am, patrol officers checked two young men at the intersection of Walther-Rathenau-Straße and Eckendorfer Straße in an Opel Astra.

They were coming from a wedding party. The 18-year-old driver from Darmstadt allegedly forgot his driver's license at home. So far, the police have no information that he is entitled to drive a car.

His 24-year-old passenger from Mindelheim was wanted by the Frankfurt am Main public prosecutor's office by arrest warrant and was arrested on the spot. During the check, the 24-year-old contacted a 41-year-old woman from Bielefeld. She appeared in her wedding dress at the control location and stated that the 18-year-old should not have been allowed to drive her Opel. He could have found the car keys in the Opel. The bride showed no interest in settling the amount so that the 24-year-old could have avoided his arrest.
