Prosecutor's Office and Stuttgart Police announce

Police officers arrested a 27-year-old man on Thursday afternoon (09.01.2025) who is alleged to have attacked a ticket inspector on the U9 city train line. The 27-year-old man was travelling towards Vogelsang on the U9 at around 12.15 pm when a 53-year-old inspector wanted to check his ticket at the Berliner Platz stop.
When the 27-year-old apparently could not show his ticket, he is said to have pushed and choked the 57-year-old in order to escape. The 57-year-old ticket inspector managed to hold the suspect and hand him over to the police shortly afterwards. The 27-year-old, who is a Pakistani national, was presented to a magistrate on the request of the public prosecutor's office on Friday (10.01.2025), who issued a warrant for his arrest and committed the suspect to a penal institution.
