Gescher - Three shoplifters arrested

Crime scene: Gescher, Hofstraße;Time of crime: 09.01.2025, 18.50 hours;A customer of a drugstore in Gescher noticed a shoplifter on Thursday evening. The man had placed goods in a stroller in the store on Hofstraße and left without paying for the products.
He got into a car and left the location. Police officers subsequently located the vehicle and stopped it. In addition to the shoplifter, there were two other male occupants in the car. The trunk of the car was fully loaded with several bags of stolen goods, presumably from different drugstore branches. Particularly brazen: The men had rigged the stroller in such a way that theft detection systems could be outsmarted when leaving stores. The three suspects from Berlin were temporarily arrested.
